Slavka has a job

So finally there it is. After a long long search Slavka has found her first job. And even she got to the best thing you could wish for. She's hired by an international company Metso as an Accounts Payable. It is a very good engineering company with an international background.
And that's even been not an easy path for Slavka to get here. But with the same breath I have to thank my boss and my company, because they helped with the whole process very much. First Slavka worked at HIMA as QMS (ISO 9001 - quality) auditor for two months and also HIMA  provided good references when Metso verified Slavka's experience.
So finally, after months of stress and sending over two hundred resumes, after several completed interviews she in the end succeeded. There's nothing more to say, I just wish her good luck especially in the early days, I hope she will like it there.
As I said, it's big company, international and what is good, they have a nice social program and also various educational programs. Just quickly I can mention neck-massage every Wednesday, birthday parties every month, like pizza and so on. Besides this, the company is quite flexible in the career growth, to learn, to change locations within the department so generally it looks really very good.
So once again, congratulations :)

Slovak invasion at HIMA Australia

Our Slovak club at HIMA has grown since the first day of June. We have a new project manager Vojtech from Nitra office, so it will be just a little bit happier. He came here with the whole family, with his wife and two daughters Alicka and Lucy. Well Lucy came here only for a few weeks because in September she starts a college back in Slovakia.
And as Bjoern helped and advised us in the early days of the domestication, as well as we try to help Vojtech in the first days in a new country. And actually he came himself alone, his family will catch up in July, when at least the basic facilities are done. He is really fast with everything, bought a car very quickly and now has only  the stress of finding an accommodation. Well, we all had to go through it but the fact is, I don't really envy him any of this. Finally he found a nice apartment, quite near the center and so the family is free to come.
And so we planned our first meeting at the Scarborough beach, nice barbecue. So, welcome to Australia, Slovaks :)
